This blog is to celebrate the success of Kendal Blackburn, our Accountancy Apprentice, being awarded her letters MAAT.
Kendal wrote 50 letters to firms looking for an apprenticeship. Only two responded and we were one of them. She came for interview and told her story of how she wanted to learn and train on the job and wanted an apprenticeship in accountancy.
In July 2012 we offered Kendal an apprenticeship subject to her achieving the appropriate GCSE’s, enrolling at Bury College, and passing the maths test which the College insist their students take. Having achieved all of the above she started with us in September 2012.
She has consistently passed her exams over the 5 years since then and finally her hard work and diligence has been rewarded and we celebrate with her in being awarded Full Membership of The Association of Accounting Technicians on 9th February 2017.
